Let’s Talk About Sex: Understand How the US Supreme Court’s Definition of Sex Will Impact the Fate of LGBTQ+ Workers
When: February 18, 2020, 6 pm PT
Where: Neyborly Old Town, 205 NW 4th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209
Event Details:
Later this Spring the Supreme Court will decide if LGBTQ+ workers are protected from employment discrimination under the Civil Rights Act. While LGBTQ+ Oregonians enjoy strong workplace protections, what more could regional employers and small business do to underscore their LGBTQ+ inclusion values during this historic moment in time?
If this question sparks your curiosity, then please RSVP for the Portland LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce’s (PABA) panel discussion providing background on the cases before the Supreme Court, implications of the Court’s decision, and how it may impact your business along with those you do business with in other parts of the country.
Local business owner and creator of the Out Entrepreneur Podcast, Rhodes Perry will moderate the discussion with the following panelists:
- Gloria Trainor, Attorney, Trainor Law PC
- Lake Perriguey, Attorney, Law Works
- Nik Rapier, KPNW PRIDE BRG Leader, Kaiser
- PABA LGBTQ Business Owner, TBD
We encourage PABA members past and present, LGBTQ+ community members and our allies to participate in this event and network with local LGBTQ+ business owners.
